Obituary

On Monday, September 16, 2019, Rodney Dale Corbin passed away at the age of 65 in Temple, Texas. Rodney was born on June 28, 1954 in Harlingen, Texas to Homer William and Loyce Aileen (Kuykendall) Corbin. After high school Rodney served for two years in the United States Army, then worked in the food industry. He met and married Delores “Dee” Biggers, and together they enjoyed over 15 years of marriage along with Delores’ two daughters until Dee’s passing.
Rodney was a good man with a giving heart. He loved helping and cooking for others, including his friends at the Rose Garden group home in Temple. He also drove people in need to the grocery store as well as to their doctor’s appointments. When not caring for those around him, Rodney enjoyed making menus for upcoming meals and watching movies. He has been a resident of Temple for the past 8 years.
Rodney was preceded in death by his wife Delores, parents Homer and Loyce, as well as his sister Colette Corbin. He is survived and cherished by his two step-daughters, his sister Debbie Trull and husband Jesse of Corinth, Texas, sister Pam Pedigo and husband Bill also of Corinth, Texas, brother Clay Corbin and wife Sandy of Tinley Park, Illinois, sister Vanessa Vinyard of Waukesha, Wisconsin, as well as several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family plans to have services at a later date.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
