In her early years Maxine attended school in Irvington, NJ. After years of living in New Jersey she decided to move to Killeen to be closer to her sister. Maxine was a wonderful cook. She loved to cook for her family and friends and had done so since an early age. She had a quiet demeanor and showed much love to those closest to her. Before illness began to take her away, she was a very fashionable person. She knew of all the latest fashion trends and would always dress to impress. When not in the kitchen cooking you might find her somewhere quiet listening to music, especially Anita Baker whom she loved to listen to often. Maxine was a Christian and knew of her eternal reward in Heaven. She has been a resident of Killeen for the past 20 years.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Dwayne Kendrick.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her 2 brothers, Alvin Brooks and Darryl Kendrick both of New Jersey, her 2 sisters, Yvette Nunez of Harker Heights and Ruthie Ross of Killeen as well as many extended and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
