Obituary

Louis W. Block, Jr. (known to everyone as Bill) of Temple TX, passed from this earth on August 16th, 2019. He was born on September 22nd, 1943, and was 75 years old. He was born in Great Falls MT, to his parents, Louis W. Block and Doris Fable. He joined the Navy after school and then returned home to Montana to attend and graduate from College of Great Falls. After graduation, he began a successful career in sales of educational equipment and furniture that lasted over 50 years. He married Judy Ferda and had two sons, Neal (Helens) and Boyce (Great Falls). Later in his life, Bill married his current wife Dona Block and had two daughters Carlie (Temple), and Hana (San Marcos). He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Karen Nelson. To Bill’s request, no formal services are planned.
Everyone who knew Bill knew his love for people, horses, boxing, NASCAR, and watching any car show on TV. Bill loved to tell stories about his life’s adventures and always had a great sense of humor. He was loved by everyone who meet him and very respected in his profession. He will be missed by everyone who met him. No goodbyes, only till we meet again.
A celebration honoring Bill will be at Schoepf’s BBQ (702 E Central Ave, Belton TX 76513) on August 24th, from 12-2 pm. Please feel free to stop by and tell us your favorite story about Bill’s life. Dona will be putting together a book for her daughters of the funny and inspirational stories friends want to share.
