Kil Bong Ray, age 74, of Killeen passed from this life on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Ray was born on the 12th day of November 1944 in South Korea.

Mrs. Ray was raised with her family in South Korea. In the mid 1960’s she met an American GI whom she fell in love with, Donald Ray. After Donald rotated back to the states Kil would accompany him. The two would be married in 1967 and spend the next 29 years together until Donald’s passing in 1996. Mrs. Ray loved her family and friends; she loved to cook authentic Korean food for all of them to enjoy. She was a Christian and knew of her eternal reward in heaven when her time here was complete. Mrs. Ray loved her Lord and read the bible often. She has been a resident of Bell County since coming to America in 1967.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald and her parents.

Mrs. Ray leaves behind to cherish her memory her 2 sons, Michael Ray, who is currently on assignment in Afghanistan, and her son Danny Ray of Temple as well as 3 grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time for Mrs. Ray.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
