Obituary

Juan Resendez Davila, age 42, of Temple passed from this life during the mid-morning hours of Friday, June 14, 2019 at a local hospital. Born on the 9th day of March 1977 in Temple he was the son of Arthur Davila Sr. and Enedina Resendez Davila.

In his early years Juan attended school and graduated from Troy High School in 1995. He had made a career out of plumbing having worked at Hernandez plumbing for 9 years as a Journeyman and most recently working for Belton ISD. Juan was a simple man. He was a good son to his parents and loved his nieces and nephews very much. Juan was the kind of guy that everyone enjoyed being around. His sarcastic humor made him the life of the party as he was sure to keep you laughing. He was fantastic at drawing and when not enjoying time with family you were sure to find him listening to heavy metal music or heading out to go see one of his favorite bands. Juan sang in the band McKanizm Loco as a lead singer from 2003 to 2009. He has been a resident of Temple for his entire life.

Juan leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents Arthur Sr. and Enedina of Temple, 1 sister Amanda Davila and husband Quantel Rose, 1 brother AJ Davila and wife Amber of Temple and his 4 nieces and 2 nephews Alex Davila, Sheldon McLaughlin, Leilah Davila, Alicia Davila, Abigail Davila and Elayna Davila.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 10 o’clock a.m. at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Sunday night between the hours of 6 and 8 o’clock p.m.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.

My sympathies to your family at this time of deep sorrow. Death of a loved one brings great sadness but our Heavenly Father promises us that he will bring us comfort at Isaiah 51:12. I hope that family, friends and your memories will bring you a measure of peace and calm.

Time has really flown by, and everyone grew up. I probably knew this kid when he was a baby. I am thankful for the good memories that I have of being friends with your parents and working with them. My heart aches with theirs today. RIP Juan! I love you guys! Gena
