Esteban M. Montero, 60, passed from this life surrounded by family on October 14, 2019 in Temple, Texas. He was born in the city of Borongan in Eastern Samar, Philippines on September 8, 1959 to Pedro Sr & Maxima (Mendoza) Montero. He married his beloved wife and lifelong friend Maria Socorro (Juaban) Montero on June 7, 1995 in Hurricane, West Virginia. They spent the next twenty-four years building a home and community together, both in the United States as well as their native Philippines. He was a father to two girls, Laura & Maxiesa, both of whom he loved dearly and was very proud of.
Esteban was a wonderful man, devoted husband, and a beautiful soul. His constant smile, his unfailing positivity, his free spirit and his generous heart were just a few of the things that made him so dear to those who knew him. Esteban was also a soldier, serving his country for fifteen years before retiring as a staff sergeant in 1998.
Esteban is preceded in death by his parents Pedro Sr. and Maxima Montero.
Esteban is remembered and cherished by his wife Maria as well as his daughters Laura and Maxiesa Montero.
Services for Mr. Montero will be held at a later date in his home country of the Philippines.
