Donald Ray “Lumpy” Gilbert, age 56 of Belton died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born on May 21, 1963 in Cleveland, OH to Junior Ray and Helen Jean (Hayhurst) Gilbert.
Lumpy attended school in Ravenna, OH in his younger years. He moved to Belton about 40 years ago. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Temple Freightliner for many years until he started his own company called Majestic Roadside.
He is preceded in death by his mother Helen Gilbert.
Left to cherish his memory is his father Junior Gilbert of Clarion, PA, his two sisters Debra Clement of Belton and Kathy Brode of Alliance OH, his nephews Kevon and Brian Clement, Bobby Brode and Johnny Zelenak and his nieces Kelsi Cooper, Amber Bode and Tanya Zelenak. He also has nine great-nieces and 6 great-nephews. His beloved dog Sara Jean will also miss his company.
He was very loved by his family and they all hope he is resting in peace.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
