Anita Milare of Temple, Texas passed from this life with her husband and daughter by her side in the morning hours of Saturday November 2. She was 63.

Anita was born in Northern California in Fort Bragg, on the ninth day of October 1956. Her parents were Clarence and Gloria (Strauss) Atkinson.

Anita is a mother to three children whom she loved dearly and was very proud of. She met Alvin Milare and the couple joined hands in matrimony on August 26, 2005 in Belton, Texas. Anita adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren as often as possible. She also loved her cats, who were family to her as well. Anita worked for Aramark at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Temple, Texas. She was a hard-working woman who was always willing to lend a hand but rarely asked for help herself. Her positive and upbeat attitude are just a few of the reasons she was so loved by all that knew her.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Gloria, as well as by her mother-in-law Olga Milare. She leaves behind her devoted husband Alvin Milare of Temple, Texas, her daughter Melissa (Micheal) Young of Copperas Cove, her son Michael (Pamela) Hullinger of Miamisburg Ohio, her daughter April Hullinger of Valleja, California, her brother Ron Atkinson of Fort Bragg, California and her grandchildren Kayla, Kara, Grace, Mason, Tessa and Samantha.

Private services for Anita will be held by the family at a later date.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

I remember the first week Anita came to work in our department. I am glad she was able to work with us and our transition to the new building. She provided a vital service to our team. Thoughts and prayers to her family with her passing.

I did not get to work with Anita very long, just around a year. In that year I found her to be an incredibly hard worker, funny, smart, and all around good person. I am honored to have known her in that brief time. I will miss her very much. To all her family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a wonderful person.
